Hello everyone! I thought I would share a little outfit of the day with you today. The weather lately has been so confusing- the mornings here are cold, foggy and wet, and by the time I finish work in the afternoon, it's warm and sunny! This outfit, paired with my Converse, was today's answer to the fickle weather.

The jumper is a new one I picked up in Matalan in the children's section. I love their children's section! They have such gorgeous items, some of them so similar to the adults clothes, at a fraction of the price, and their age 15 pieces are the same size as a ladies size 8! This jumper was only £12, whereas similar ones in the ladies section were between £20 and £30! I have received so many compliments on it too. It's so classic and simple, however the detailing such as the lovely shape of the sleeves and the buttons running down the back stop it from being too boring.

This denim pencil skirt from New Look was this summers attempt at stopping myself getting stuck in the routine of wearing my skinny jeans with everything. Having a very active 18 month old means that most skirts simply aren't practical- I don't want to spend all day worrying about either flashing people or treading on the bottom of my maxi skirts! But this skirt is brilliant- it's stretchy, comfortable, and long enough to save my dignity! I love the shape and it goes with almost everything.

How are you all? I am still working 7 days a week, but treated myself to my first night out in a very long time last week! I was a little bit worried about being too old now I'm a mum, but it felt really good to get dressed up and spend a night with my friends not stressing about work, weddings or nappies!

autumn

I love this time of year. I love the weather changing, the colours, the cosiness of wrapping up warm, roast dinners and hot chocolate. I'm even getting excited about christmas already!

I'm also enjoying my new job, even though I have a lot of hours and when Im not working all I want to do is sleep!. The people there are so nice and have made me feel really welcome, and most of the customers are lovely. I love helping the customers find a product that really works for them and they are really happy with, it feels like more than just a job in a shop. Im being trained to do peoples make up too! It means I haven't made anything for the shop this week, but Im still getting orders out and am definitely going to start making christmas items soon!

My little bump is coming along nicely! Im now 19 weeks. I can't believe how fast time is going. My 20 week scan is just a week away, and we have decided we want to find out the sex!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited! The baby has been really active too, and is getting so strong! you can now feel it kicking from the outside of my tummy :) David was the first to feel it, which was so lovely, as I only see him about once a week. I think the baby wanted to show off for daddy :)

Dressing bump is getting trickier as I get further along, I am having to get lots of baggy jumpers now ready for the colder weather, and I needed a new coat as none of mine would do up over my tummy! My family went to london last week for my sisters birthday (I had to go for my flu jab instead!) and came back with the lovely jumper I am wearing in the picture above, with the cutest bear on the front! I love it!

Just a minute... in October

making... a birthday present for my little sister, a teeny doll i am making to look like her. I am also attempting to knit a scarf for the first time! And of course starting new work at uni in the studios. so happy to be back :)

cooking... home made soup and lots of pasta dishes

loving... autumn. i adore it!!! i love to take walks in the park in all the golden crispy leaves, collect conkers and pixie cups that have lost their acorns, and visit the lake, watching the swans and the ducks for hours.

wanting... some new warm boots to wear with thick cosy socks, and my favourite coat. I accidently left it at home and am missing it lots!!

penguins, fortune tellers and walks in the park

This morning I was feeling poorly so the lovely boyfriend tucked m up in bd with some peppermint tea, popcorn and put toystory on for me :) Once I was feeling all better, we went for a walk in the park, where we met lots of ducks and geese!! They were vry friendly and all came over to say hello :)



I noticed that lately I seem to be makig a little collection of penguins... I have two little glass ornaments that I bought who are meant to be m and my boyfriend :) I also found this really cute felt penguin purse that I am in love with at the moment!!



Ive just had a nice little nostalic moment, I made one of those paper fortune teller sthat I used to constantly make in class when I was about 14!! Anyone else remember these?? Hours of fun!!
