SO DANCE ALONG TO THE BEAT OF YOUR HEART

Dress: Primark // Cardigan: Matalan // Necklace: Ebay // Bracelet: Ebay

Hello everyone!

I'm having a cosy afternoon in with Lily, so I thought I'd do a little outfit post. I bought this dress a little while ago from Primark. I loved the shape and the detailing, and thought it would be really cute for summer, so as it was only £5 I got it and put it away, waiting for the weather to warm up.

I then got this cardigan from Matalan this weekend. This is now easily my favourite cardigan I own! It is so soft and cosy, and such good quality! It feels so much more expensive than it actually is. I love the specks of colour running through it too, and it goes with everything! However I had got into a bit of a rut lately of just wearing jeans & jumpers, I think because of the weather & having to run around after Lily all the time, it had just become my easy choice. But I had a little brainwave today while feeling a bit miserable that instead of some spring sunshine we have snow, and decided to pair this cardigan with my summer dress & a pair of Primark super cosy tights, & voilĂ ! A pretty, practical and warm outfit! It's definitely lifted my mood a little!

Do you have any tips for dressing when its super cold & your feeling lazy?

Patel & Purple

Our bank holiday weekend was lovely. I am going to do a proper update post soon full of all the pictures I've been taking each day. But for now I'm going to share these outfit pictures!

I know all my outfits are pretty casual and boring at the moment, I'm starting to get better at being organised and looking after a baby without spending the whole time in top knots and leggings. I bought this jumper in New Look on Saturday. I love the fact its practical & comfy but has such pretty colours in it! You can't see it as well as I wanted in the pictures, but it has multicoloured flecks all over it in pretty pastel tones.

I absolutely love Lily's little outfit here! The top and headband are both from Vertboudet. I love their baby clothes, they are a bit different from your usual pink for girls and blue for boys baby clothes & so so pretty. This actually has shorts that go with it too, but the weather has been too horrible for her to wear them. As soon as the sun comes out though, this is the outfit she's wearing!

Things are getting quite exciting at the moment too... I am starting a new little project I hope to share with you all soon, and we may, hopefully, have a house very soon!! Please send lots of luck our way, we have everything crossed!

How were your weekends?

soldiers, kittens and polka dots

Rosie: dress worn as top: primark, cardigan: H&M, jeans: George at ASDA
Lily: top: H&M, trousers: H&M

I know you can't really see them in this picture, but I love the jeans I'm wearing here! I really struggle to find good fitting jeans (as most people seem to) and these I found for £14 at ASDA amazingly, and they fit so well and are really comfy! They're high waisted skinny jeans that are quite stretchy and feel really good quality. They have them in lots of colours too, I really want a mint green pair next!

The dress I'm wearing as a top is one that was in primark ages ago, I got it just before I found out I was pregnant last year, and didn't end up wearing it before I got too big for it! So today I wore it for the first time, but as a top. Short dresses aren't that practical when your looking after a 6 week old baby! I love the print on it of the little red soldiers :)

I really love this little outfit Lily is wearing! It's so adorable! It had a cute little red polkadot hat with cat ears on too, but I've lost it, which is such a shame because it is so so cute!I think H&M is my favourite place for baby clothes. They are all cute, practical and really reasonable prices.

Today Lily and I went to see her great Grandma. She lives in a care home and the carers and other residents make such a fuss of little Lily! This evening, after some pizza, I think we will settle down with David and watch Deathly Hallows part 1 & 2. I think my David, Lily and Harry Potter might just be my favourite way to spend an evening!
