hello :) i have finally finished for summer, and am very excited!! the exhibition is over, and it went amazingly well. My parents came to the private viewing on friday evening and it was a really lovely night, and i go home on friday, where i will be staying until september!!!!!!!! i have some pictures from the exhibition to show you all aswell!! here is my work: (sorry about the pictures not being very clear. they were galss jars in galss cabinets, which made them quite difficult to photograph!!)

my work in its cabinet

my 'Dear Toothfairy' piece

My wizard of oz piece

My Hansel and Gretel piece
My Little Red Riding Hood piece

One of the tiny story books that went with the fairy tale characters

My work this year has been all about childhood and nostalgia, so my toothfairy piece (the first jar) was based on a memory of my childhood when i used to write notes to the toothfairy hoping i would catch her!! All of the others are storybook characters from my favourite fairytales, and i made tiny story books to go with them too :)
heres some of the other work in the exhibition:

over easter, when i had left my camera at uni, i took lots and lots of pictures with my phone. some very lovely ones of teeny chanel and leah, and my little brother, and my easter treats, and making daisy chains- and i have lost them all!!! my phone completely died on me on saturday, and i lost everything :( it is utterly sad because not only have i lost some wonderful pictures of family, but i have lost all of the pictures i was going to post here for you all to see!!! however i do have a lovely new dress to show you all. i love love love it!! the pictures dont really do it justice.

I also have turnt my old trousers into some lovely high waisted shorts, with shiney new buttons. im very pleased with them, however the suns decided to go again and the rain wont stop!! hopefully the weather will brighten up soon, and i will get pictures to show you them :) i have some other new clothes as well that i will take pictures of and show you soon. Ive been spending a little too much lately :S

  1. hello sweet girl! your art is just beautiful. i love how delicate and detailed and meaningful your pieces are. they remind me of how fragile our dreams are when we are children, how they are like stories in glass jars in glass cabinets. really lovely. i wish i could have seen them. and oh that dress is too pretty. you are such a special girl, rosie-love.
