/  Expert Heat Protection Intensive Conditioner- £2.49 from Boots /

Hello everyone! I have a little review post for you today. I came across this hair mask the other day in the Boots clearance aisle. I have been experimenting a bit with difference hair products lately because I really want longer, healthy, shiny hair for our wedding, but hadn't found anything that seemed to really work for me. I use a lot of heat on my hair, and while I always use heat protection, my hair still suffers. I have a uncontrollable, thick, frizzy mane of hair and just can't go without blow dries and straighteners  so as a result, my hair is often dull, dry and damaged. I love the natural dark colour of my hair and never dye it, but find that when my hair becomes dry, the colour gets lighter. I've been looking for products that will add a bit of moisture and shine to my hair, and have used shampoos and masks from Herbal Essences, Aussie  Tresemme, L'Oreal, and found things that were 'ok' but didn't really get the results I'd hoped. I had been planning on spending a bit more and going to pricier brands, but as this was on offer, I picked it up to try.

I must admit, I wasn't expecting much. A shops own brand hair mask in the clearance aisle didn't exactly fill me with confidence, but for £1 (yes, £1!), I thought it was worth a shot. I'm so glad I did! I LOVE this product! It contains pro-vitamin B5, antioxidants and a UV filter (I'm not going to pretend that I know the science behind these at all, but they sound good, don't they?) and claims to add strength back to the hair while protecting from heat damage. The consistency is creamy but quite light, not really thick like you might expect from something called 'intense'. I just applied it in the shower after shampooing mainly through the ends but a little at the roots, left it a couple of minutes and rinsed. As I was rinsing it out, my hair already felt so much smoother! I couldn't believe how much more manageable my hair was while blow drying, and I barely needed to use my straighteners at all, just a little to help shape the front of my hair. This is amazing, considering my hair usually needs so much taming with heat and different products! My hair was so much glossier and looked so healthy and hydrated. My colour was much darker and richer, back to how it used to be before I damaged it. I have never had such good results from any hair mask before! I am so impressed, and will definitely be repurchasing.

How are you all? Did any of you do anything special for Valentines day? We had a very quiet but lovely one. I baked brownies, David bought wine, we ordered takeaway and watched Lost In Translation. Perfect!

If you have any hair products you love or have any special hair care tips, please share them, I'd love to improve my hair routine even more!

Superdrug Vitamin E range

Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser - £5.99 at Superdrug

Vitamin E SPF 15 Radiance Moisture Cream - £2.99 at Superdrug
Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream - £2.99 at Superdrug

Hello! I thought I would do a skin care review post today. I have been asked by some of you a few times about what I use on my skin, however in the past have assured anyone asking I know nothing about skin care and have terrible skin, I am just wearing make up to hide it! I have always had severely dry skin, a mild case of rosacea, an occasional oily t zone, sensitive skin and regular break outs. I know, lucky me! Over the years, I have tried almost all high street skin care products in the search for something to help me, and was always dissapointed. The only products I found helped a little were the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser and Cliniques Dramatically Different moisturiser. However, while working at The Body Shop last Christmas I was trained in make up and skin care and found what worked for my skin. I started using their Vitamin E range and it made such a big difference to my skin. Then I heard about Superdrug's own Vitamin E range, and saw they had a 2 for £3.99 on all the products. Not expecting much, I picked up their Hot Cloth Cleanser and Intense Moisture Cream and I'm so glad I did!

The Hot Cloth Cleanser comes in a box with it's own muslin cloth. I have seen some reviews were people were dissapointed with the cloth, but personally, I don't see any problems with it. It's a good size and does the job well. I have some Body Shop one's as well and it's just as good as those! The cleanser is thick and creamy, and smells a bit like cocoa butter which I really like. You massage a small amount (about the size of a hazelnut) it into your face, soak the cloth in warm water, remove the cleanser, then splash your face with cool water to finish . It removes make up and impurities while gently exfoliating. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, has helped with black heads, controls any oiliness,  and leaves my face feeling smooth, clean and soft and looking brighter and more radiant. It removes my eye make up as well, unless I am wearing waterproof mascara, then I find I need to use another make up remover for my eyes.

The Intense Moisture Cream comes in a round pot and is thick and creamy, however when applied to the face, doesn't leave it feeling greasy at all. It sinks into my skin really well so is perfectly fine to use before applying make up. I haven't found it has irritated my skin at all and my skin is well hydrated and clear since using it. I liked it so much I picked up the Radiance Moisture Cream, which is the same formula, but in a tube with light reflecting pigments. I love this product too, as it just leaves your skin with a glow, rather than tiny bits of glitter like some of these creams do. I tend to apply this in the morning before doing my make up, and the Intense Moisture Cream before bed.

I am so impressed with all of these products. My skin is the best it's ever been. It is now always hydrated, calm, soft & clear, with just the occasional small hormonal spot to deal with! For the first time in my life I wouldn't care about leaving the house without foundation on, and some days have gone out with just a little concealer under my eyes to cover any redness. They have lasted me ages too, as I purchased them all a month or so before Lily was born. I think I still have enough left of all of them to last me a few more months and Lily will be 6 months tomorrow! I would highly recommend these to anyone. I think the cleanser is just as good as the Liz Earle one, and the moisturiser possibly even better than the Clique one I used to use, and for such a bargain price, you can't go wrong!

Have you used any products in this range before? What did you think?
