Happy Halloween for yesterday lovelies!!

 We had a lovely day. I made creepy crawley cupcakes, caramelised pumpkin seeds & pumpkin soup which were all very scrummy! And David & I both carved a pumpkin each-- mine is the slightly goofy looking smaller one, and Davids is the big menacing looking one! 

But the best part about the day was our little incey wincey spider! I bought the spider costume last Halloween when I was pregnant so have been waiting a very long time to see Lily in it, and I think she made a rather adorable spider! She was so excited to be wearing the costume I didn't manage to get one picture that wasn't blurry of her! She was bouncing and giggling and waving her arms the whole time she was in it, it was so cute :) She even did a little bit of trick or treating with her Uncle Ollie who took her to a few neighbours houses, and got some chocolate buttons and sponge fingers which she loved a lot! 

I didn't dress up in the end. My day was spent either in the kitchen making yummy Halloween treats or laughing at Lily trying to decide which of her 8 feet to chew on next & attempting to take clear pictures of her, otherwise I was planning on doing a very simple, last minute skeleton costume. Maybe next year I will be a bit more organised!

 hope you all had a wonderful halloween, although i am rather late in saying so. I spent my halloween with my Davids family. It was wonderful!!! David was peter pan, and I was tinkerbell. David made a rather handsome peter pan, and i was an extremely glittery tinkerbell!!! mother covered me head to toe in glitter, and by the end of the evening everybody else had glitter on them too. Davids father began the evening as a rather terrifying mummy, but by the time we left, he was a very sparkly mummy!!! it was a wonderful night, with fireworks and sparklers and cobwebs and glittery pumpkins. and we ate pumpkin soup and orange jelly and cupcakes with orange and black icing.

I visited my godmother also. she lived by the sea, and i collected lots of lovely seashells. I think i will put them in a jar, like I do with all of my collections. the collections of feathers and shiny stars and glitter and acorns and little notes and buttons and origami stars. I have been making lots of origami stars recently. whenever I have a spare moment I am folding paper into little stars. I am rather addicted.

and i have been wearing a gold butterfly in my hair. it is ever so pretty. and i have been sleeping better, as when i come home from work i have some warm sweet milk and a childrens book to read, ones by beatrix potter and roald dahl. and i drift soundly off to sleep. 

                    

                      

in my evenings off I have been making things. little things for my shop! finally. it is something i wanted to do in the summer, and now i am doing it. I am hoping it will be opening in the next few weeks.

I have already finished some little rings! little rings with teacups and saucers. I do hope you like them.

Halloween!!!

I hope everyone had lovely halloweens!!




I went to my friends halloween party, that had a superhro and villains theme!! Me and the boyfriend went as superman and supergirl :)




We had a lovely time, and ate potato wedges and doritos with dip, played with blow up pumpkins and drinking games with cherryade!!

Today I am making a cottage pie for me and my boyfriend, and will wear my new knitted tights!! I got them in black, grey and red. I think I will wear red today :)
